Text Following Path Tutorial

Intro:
This tutorial is a very very basic tutorial for the begin of all beginners
, but a lot of beginners will find this extremely useful to make a curve to there text without using the warp text function (which will deform your text).
This is the end result of this tutorial:
Step 1:
First create a new file of your choosing, doesn't matter since I'm only going to show you how to make the text follow the path. If you really want to know, my file is 450px x 150px. Now select the pen-tool
, then at your top toolbar select paths (it is marked red in the screenshot below).
Step 2:
Then create a path. To start your path just click anywhere in your file, then make a second dot but hold your left mouse button while you do this, then drag your mouse to make a curve. To make a second curve just make another dot, and release the left mouse button.
Step 3:
Now select the Type-tool, it's this icon in your tools-bar
. Hover your path (your cursor should change when hovering), then left click on the path and Start typing.
