Make the original simpsons TV Tutorial

Intro:
This adobe photoshop tutorial will show you on how to make the TV from the TV series The simpsons with the original colors.
Step 1:
Open up a new image with 500x500 pixels. Set foreground color to: #be8cf0
Make a round shape with the rounded rectangle tool, but first change the radius to 10px, it will show up when you select the rounded rectangle tool

Then add these blending options to your shape:


You should have something like:
Step 2:
Make another shape with radius 5px and change the foreground color to: #947ba4, this shape is going to be our screen, where we'll put a simpson image in later on.
Add these blending options:

You could smooth out the edges, I will make a seperate tutorial about smoothing edges in photoshop real soon!
I smooth out my edges to show you the big difference on the rounded edges.
Step 3:
Make another rounded edged shape with 5px radius, this will be the shape to cutout the simpsons image that will display on the screen.
You should have this:

Open a simpsons image, or you could use the one I'm using which you can download HERE.
Place it under the shape, this way you can resize it and see if you go to far or not.
So resize the pic of pieman (Ctrl+T) so there are still some edges left on all sides.
Ctrl+click the shape above it, Press Ctrl+shift+I to make an inverse selection, select the pieman picture in the layers window, and hit delete. Unhide the shape layer.
Step 4:
Make a round selection with the eliptical marquee tool
Make a new layer (Ctrl+shift+N) name this layer reciever or something like it.
