Intro:
Create a Plasma TV for your designs or whatever you need a self made plasma TV for.
Step 1:
Select the rounded rectangle tool
change the Radius to 5px, and make a shape with it like below, color doesn't matter as we will change it later. If your happy with the base rasterize the layer and name the layer TV Base.

Before we apply our blending options we have to make a pattern first for the pattern overlay blending option. Make a new file with the dimensions 1px width and 2px height. Then take the 1px pencil tool

set the foreground color to black, and make a dot in the lowest pixel like below. Note: zoom in with Ctrl++, makes it a lot easier!

Now let's define our pattern, go to Edit > Define pattern, give it a name and press OK. Now we can apply our blending options, follow the pictures below.

Step 2:
Make a selection of the TV Base layer by CTRL-clicking it. Make a new layer called Base Shadow. Select a soft 150px brush. Change the foreground color to black if not already, then brush the corners a bit like below.

Change the blend mode of this layer to Soft light and its opacity to 75%. Now we have to duplicate the layer and move the same shadows on the top or you could redo the first part of step 2 and make different shadow for the top.
Step 3:
Make a new shape like we did before with the rounded rectangle tool but set the foreground color to black because this layer will remain black. Name this layer Black base

Make a new shape now with a Radius of 2px and foreground color #1f456b, name this layer Blue screen.
Step 4:
Select your brush tool again, set foreground color to white (#FFFFFF), and the brush opacity to 60% in the top toolbar. Make a selection of the Black base layer, make a new layer to brush on and call it Black base Brush. Then brush some shiny stuff.
