Advanced shine star in photoshop Tutorial

Step 5:
Make a new layer, and name it Small line. make a line with the penciltool like mine below:

Go to Filter > Blur > Motion blur, and use these settings: 0 angle and 35 distance.
Move this layer to the middle to and turn down the opacity a bit in the layers window, I have my opacity on 38%.
Step 6:
Now comes the finishing touch, color balancing this puppy!
Hide the background layer by clicking on its eye icon in the layers window, then select the top layer (small line), make a new layer name this layer star, hit ctrl+Alt+Shift+E , this will merge all visible layers in the newly created layer "Star". The reason we did this because we are able to add layer adjustments to the whole star at once instead of each layer seperate.
Now unhide the background layer, and hide all the layers except the background and star layer.
Select the "Star" layer, go to Layer > New adjustment layer > Color balance and use these settings:

And there you go, you made a complete star for future use in your designs! Good luck.
