Celoxdesign Forum live

As the title says the CD Forum came online today, there were some beta tester who helped me out nicely, thanks Beta testers! It was way to hot to sit down the PC as much as I'm used to, so it took me a bit longer to get everything finished.

If you have any suggestions for the forum, for example a new category or new forums don't hesitate to drop them in the forum. You can also discuss my adobe Photoshop tutorials, which is a lot easier to do then in the tutorial comments.

Google page rank

Finally! Celoxdesign has it's Google page rank, it took a while for a Google page rank update, I think more then a half year. I read something on a Google page rank site that there would be an update somewhere in June, so that prediction was pretty close.

The page rank of Celoxdesign is 4 on the main page, and most of the files in the same folder 3, the rest in deeper folders have a 0 but that will change eventually.

2 New adobe photoshop tutorials

Hola,

I had some spare time today and started immediately on some new tutorials, some people were asking in comments how I did the shine layer and the Shiny star, which I explained in the comments. Now I made 2 separate tutorials about it with a much more detailed explanation. You can view the tutorials by clicking the thumbnails below.

Added 3 free templates to the download-section, All the headers and footer have no text so you can easily add your own and adjust it just the way you like. If you need any support just E-mail me via the contact form or drop me a line in the shoutbox.

Shout-box back, more security images

Well as you can see you can post again in the Shout-box, I had to move some coding around for it to work on this PHP version of the new host. I did some tweaking to the HTML as well so you'll be able to post a lot easier, especially the message field, which in my opinion needed more room because when the message is pretty long you had to select the text in a normal input or check the text you typed with the arrow keys.. Which sucks

After I reworked the shout-box I went further with the security images and secured the contact form and tutorial comments page, so now we won't be having problems with spam bots anymore!
The contact form was getting spammed also with ALOT of links in the message field which I received in my mailbox, was kinda annoying.

This week or in the early next week I'll be adding more free templates to the download section which I made over the last year.

Downloads CMS, new 1024x768 wallpaper

Hey,

It's been a while since I did a news post, all because I was getting my hands dirty on PHP, I made a Downloads Content management system (CMS), which I'm also using for the templates page and soon the portfolio, I will be finishing the portfolio with the new script today.

In-case you didn't notice I did some changed to the HTML of the photoshop tutorials page to match the setup of the downloads pages, AND I made new images so that updating to a new design is much easier, I had rounded edges with the background color of this design at first, but that wasn't really practical especially if you have ALOT of photoshop tutorials. Also it reduces the load time of the page because I had to make 2 different type of images, the ones of the photoshop tutorials page, and the random photoshop tutorials.

I added a new 1024x768 wallpaper of Mischa Barton, She's from the UK and a real pleasure to look at. Hope you all enjoy the new wallpaper, I can assure you that more wallpapers will follow very soon, both for 1280x1024 and 1024x768. I'm also thinking of shrinking all the wallpapers to 800x600 and put them all on, but that will all be done on a later time.

Also I didn't receive as much Site of the month submissions as I had hoped for, so people sign up your site! If you got a neat design only that's OK too, since I'm also picking out sites especially for the design, sites with original content are also very welcome.

There is also a News RSS feed available of celoxdesign now, mainly for my Search engine optimization but you can also use it for your own site if you want.

I made some changes to the contact form too, now you can choose a template if your interested in buying one, this makes your job easier contacting me, and also mine in reading my mails and knowing what you really want.

CD Mobile, PDA back and other news

The Mobile supported page of Celoxdesign is back, I can't test the page myself so there may occur some bugs, just let me know and I'll fix them. Very soon I have my own PDA so I can test it myself, more functions will be available also.

I added my tutorials to some tutorial databases, on Tutorial-Database.com, and GFXtuts.com. Those guys we're pretty helpful to add all of my tutorials on there tutorial indexes.

Last but not least, added a referral script. This script counts the hits I get from other sites.
